Crisis? Bonfiglioli has its exit strategy. never to diminish investment in principal assets

The global economic situation of the last two years is well known to everyone, and it is also common knowledge that this problem is not over yet, although perhaps not as drastic as before, as clearly indicated from the current statistical trends.
How did Bonfiglioli present itself to face this international economic situation?

It started with a full knowledge of the situation and a line of action: understanding that the company is working within a market that is moving out of a niche context, a market which companies cannot ignore any longer, a market which is a pre-requisite of the industrial production, that of quality. In this context we established our conviction of our well versed commercial proposals and on which we have based our adopted strategy: our strategy has always been, never to diminish our investment in our principal assets that is personnel, research and our global presence.

Notwithstanding that in the last two years we have witnessed a decline in our business, we had taken decisions to maintain intact our Bonfiglioli team, study new technical solutions and to continue to preserve our world contacts through more clients visits, fairs and promotion.
A simple strategy? Without any doubt yes, but not to be taken lightly. The conviction that the company's investments in the sector were only postponed has been brought to the fore in 2010.

This year in fact, accompanied by a more relaxed atmosphere of the market (one definitely cannot speak of a recovery) the tendency has been inverted. In terms of orders, in the last nine months Bonfiglioli has exceeded, in every trimester of the year, its historical records, establishing an absolute record last September.
The analysis made reflect the combination of delayed and new investments. This has been evidenced by going through the countries from where orders have been generated. Not only the BRIC States, which resulted to be the countries which continued their economic strive, but also European States which have been through or are still facing negative economic effects. In conclusion, the idea to continue protecting the market even though signals indicated otherwise, has undoubtedly resulted in a major financial effort, but today, looking backwards and seeing all that we have recovered, has proved us right. This makes us even stronger in embracing further challenges we still have to face to consolidate and improve the accomplished results, in an increasingly complex context and which will distance us further from our physical, cultural and social boundaries, so as to understand even more the current and future global developments.
